Multi-sensory and evocative experience at LA river

What if we re-direct interrelation and interdependency of river process?
(think about extreme cases....)

1.       Vary the actions of current water flow (multiply individuation actions and motions)

-From linear to non-linear flow

-When different actions encounters, motions?

2.       Manipulate bed-form (slope or sedimentation)

-lateral action oriented bedform=> non-linear bedform

3.    Increase vegetation (Patch or fish…)

Sound (Quietness/Contemplation vs loud/boisterous)

Texture (monotonous vs dynamic/multitude?)

From our previous research, we derived that these changes will affect structure, texture, sounds, spaces and scent of the river.  Also, we learned how texture, sound and light play a role in our perception of space, proportion, speed and materials of river.

River, historically, engaged with the public as infrastructure (mainly transportation). Then, river and its surrounded area treated as the tool of cultural infrastructure development. Based on our scenarios, we would like to test how manipulation of different agents can transform not only physical LA river, but also sensorial capacity of river.
